Career Insights is operated by careerinsight.app. For the personal data described here, careerinsight.app is the data controller — we decide why and how it is processed. You can reach us at support@careerinsight.app.

Career Insights has no user accounts. Your assessment sessions — profile details, interview answers, extracted skills, plans and coach conversations — are stored locally in your browser, along with your language preference. We cannot see this local storage. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently, and we cannot recover it.

• Interview and profile content you submit (including any CV or LinkedIn text you paste or upload) — processed to generate skills, careers, plans, coaching answers and translations. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
• Technical data such as IP address, approximate request origin, browser type and timestamps — used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting. Legal basis: legitimate interests in keeping the Service available and affordable.
• Usage and cost telemetry — anonymous session identifiers, request counts, model latency, token counts and cost. Used to monitor performance and spend. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages you send us — used to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

• AI model providers — interview and coaching content is sent to our AI provider to generate responses. Do not enter information you would not want processed this way.
• Hosting and database providers — who run the application, database and email delivery on our behalf as processors.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.

Our providers may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Assessment content stays in your browser until you delete it. Rate-limit and usage counters are short-lived and are cleared or aggregated as they expire. Support emails are kept up to 24 months. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Email support@careerinsight.app and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you can also complain to your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls on administrative tools, and rate limiting. No system is completely secure, so please avoid entering sensitive personal information you do not need to share.

We use only essential browser storage: your assessment data, language choice and the session identifiers needed to make the Service work and to enforce fair usage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party marketing trackers. You can clear this storage at any time in your browser settings, which will also delete your saved assessments.
